Parade Route & Information
TIMES: Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6:00 pm with parade immediately following.
ROUTE: Once again, the parade will begin at the intersection of High Street & Main Street and proceed east towards the Old Jr. High site (370 E. Main) The announcement stage will remain across from the municipal building.
VETERANS & CONTESTANTS: VETERANS: Please meet at the municipal building at 5:30 to ride the float. Queen, Princess, Miss & Mr contestants: Please meet at the municipal building at 5:30. Winners will be announced during opening ceremonies!
CHECK-IN: If you plan to be in the parade, Check-in will begin at 4:30pm on Thursday, Sept. 5th. Please make sure someone from your unit meets with a parade marshal representative by 5:30. We will take your parade registration form once you are in line and give you a number!
LINE UP will be along S. High, Walnut, and Poplar streets. South High Street: Graham Band, Grand Marshal, Queen/Princess, and Royal Court. Horses: Please line-up in the grass area behind the Pony Wagon Museum. Enter this area through Springfield Street. Walnut & Poplar will be on a 1st come basis. Please come down Springfield Street and a parade marshal will be at the intersection of Springfield & Walnut or Springfield & Poplar to direct you to your line-up space.
GROUPS - Please plan a way for the group to meet. Last year some groups had a designated drop off space where an adult would meet with the group and then walk them to the vehicle. This appeared to work well! If you have any questions, feel free to call or email.
Registration: Please complete the registration form and bring it with you the day of the parade. We will collect the forms once you are in the line-up!
