Registration will be on Wednesday September 17, 2008 6 – 8 PM, in the St. Paris Municipal Building,

Council Room

All items must be registered (forms will be available). Entry fees are .50 (cents) per entry. A

limit of five (5) entries per person. One (1) entry per category. All entries must be delivered

to the Municipal Building at time of registration. All entries must be on a white disposable

plate and covered with clear plastic (when applicable). Large zip-lock bags are preferable.

Items must be homemade/homegrown by the entrant, and not previously entered in this

event.

Entries are to be picked up on Saturday, September 9, from 1 to 3 PM.

Any items not removed will become the property of the committee unless prior arrangements

have been made.

PRIZES: 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded in each category. A best of show for each

division. All pies and cakes become property of the committee to be donated to the chili

supper at the fire station. Any other entries donated (except fruits and vegetables) will be

auctioned on Saturday during the Basket Auction. All donations welcome.

DIVISION I - FRUITS & VEGETABLES

2 potatoes - 1 zucchini - 2 decorative gourds 2 tomatoes - 2 peppers - 1 head of cabbage -

pumpkin - and unusual garden item.

DIVISION II - BAKED GOODS

Cake - pie - chocolate chip cookies - peanut butter cookies - bread - any other baked goods.

DIVISION III - CANNED GOODS

Jelly - applesauce - green beans - pickles - tomatoes - any other canned goods

DIVISION IV - CRAFTS

Ceramics - woodworking - sewing (clothing) - sewing crafts - decorated wreath - dried floral arrangements

DIVISION V - ARTWORK

Drawing (any medium) - photography (any medium) - photography (portraits) - painting (any medium).

DIVISION VI - QUILTS

Tied - quilted wall hanging - Quilts (any type)

DIVISION VII - NEEDLEWORK

Crocheted item - knitted item - counted cross-stitch - Afghans - any other needlework item.

DIVISION VIII - FLORAL

Live arrangement in a basket - live Mass - live container grown plant - 2 Roses - 2 Marigolds - 2

Zinnias - any other floral

DIVISION IX - CHILDRENS

2 brownies - 2 cup cakes - drawing - painting - DECORATED PUMPKIN (not carved) - original craft.

DIVISION X - SCARECROW CONTEST

RULES: All entries must be HOMEMADE, 24” to 7’ tall, freestanding or single stake in ground

All entries will become property of the Festival to be sold at the Auction on Saturday,

September 20th.

All entries must be turned in at the HOMESHOW on Wednesday, September 17th, 6-8 PM.

All the Scarecrows will be on display till Auction time.

Prize money and ribbons will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places.

Names of all entries will be announced during the Auction.
